Talent Acquisition Specialist Role:
- Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies to secure high-caliber talent in alignment with company objectives
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment process for construction and skilled trades roles, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offer management
- Utilize LinkedIn Talent Solutions and various sourcing platforms to proactively engage top-notch candidates
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers and project leaders to determine staffing needs, craft job descriptions, and establish hiring benchmarks
- Build and maintain a robust candidate pipeline through social media, networking, partnerships with trade schools, and participation in industry events
- Coordinate and attend recruitment events such as career fairs, community outreach initiatives, and trade school visits
- Conduct weekly new hire orientation sessions and oversee all onboarding processes, including administering drug tests, physicals, safety training, and documentation completion
- Ensure compliance with internal policies by managing pre-employment screenings, background checks, and certifications
- Maintain and update the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), recruitment dashboards, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Act as the primary point of contact for candidates and hiring managers to ensure a positive recruitment experience
- Support continuous enhancement of recruitment strategies based on workforce needs and industry trends
- Manage the recruiting email inbox and provide HR support as required
- Collaborate with internal departments, including payroll, to ensure smooth hiring processes
- Assist in the transition to the new Vista HR platform from Cyber Recruiter
Talent Acquisition Specialist Background Profile:
- Demonstrated experience in full-cycle recruitment, preferably within the construction, skilled trades, or related sectors
- Proficiency in LinkedIn Talent Solutions and ATS platforms; familiarity with Cyber Recruiter or Vista is advantageous
- Strong sourcing abilities and knowledge of modern recruiting tools and techniques
- Capacity to build partnerships with educational institutions, training programs, and industry associations to cultivate candidate pipelines
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple requisitions with meticulous attention to detail
- Familiarity with employment laws, pre-employment screening procedures, and onboarding compliance
- Comfortable conducting orientations and collaborating cross-functionally with HR and payroll teams
- Willingness to engage in recruitment events and represent the company externally
- Experience or interest in supporting HRIS implementation projects is a plus
