Store Director Role:
We are seeking a dynamic Store Director to lead operations for an established specialty retailer. This role involves overseeing a diverse array of market departments, including meat and seafood, produce, an in-store bakery, deli, extensive prepared foods, wine, cheese, and grocery. If you have a passion for gourmet food and experience in specialty grocery operations, this is a fantastic opportunity to make an impact.
Manage and oversee all operations, ensuring smooth functionality across departments.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer service, drive sales growth, and boost profitability.
Ensure high standards of merchandising and product displays to maximize sales potential.
Hire, train, and schedule staff, fostering a team culture while maintaining optimal staffing levels.
Address and resolve customer complaints efficiently, maintaining a focus on satisfaction and quality service.
Enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance across all operations.
Monitor and manage inventory, ensuring product freshness and availability while minimizing waste.
Analyze and utilize financial reports to guide operational decisions and meet budgetary goals.
Collaborate with department managers to align performance with organizational objectives.
Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Extensive knowledge of perishable and prepared foods; experience in restaurant operations is highly desirable.
Expertise in retail inventory management and food retail operations.
Strong problem solving skills with the ability to resolve employee and customer issues effectively.
Exceptional multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proven ability to work independently and achieve operational goals.
Store Director Background Profile:
Bachelor Degree or a combination of equivalent experience and higher education.
Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role in specialty grocery or restaurant management.
Certification in Food Safety Management is required.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on collaboration and team building.
Familiarity with local market trends and community engagement.

Mike has a passion for community service, having served as a board member for the Bear Creek Specialty Utility District (formerly Lavon Water Supply Corporation) from 2007-2013; Community Independent School District board trustee from 2013-2017; and currently serves as Lavon City Councilman, Place 2 since 2017.
