Senior Manager of Procurement, Oil & Gas
My client located in North Dallas, Texas is in need of a Senior Manager of Procurement within Oil & Gas. This is an onsite direct hire opportunity. Client is open to candidate relocation.

Our client is a growing organization focused on large-scale project development, construction, and operations within the energy and infrastructure sectors. The company is seeking a strategic procurement leader who can help build and scale procurement capabilities while driving commercial value, supplier performance, and operational excellence.
Senior Manager of Procurement, Oil & Gas Role
Build and lead procurement strategy supporting project development, construction, and operations.
Own sourcing activities, vendor selection, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
Develop category management strategies for major spend categories including drilling, stimulation, EPC, and operations and maintenance.
Partner with engineering, project management, operations, finance, and legal teams to ensure scopes, specifications, and project schedules are procurement-ready.
Drive cost reduction initiatives, value engineering efforts, and commercial discipline throughout the supply chain.
Establish procurement policies, approval thresholds, sourcing governance, and competitive bid processes.
Manage supplier performance, delivery risk, long-lead materials, and supply continuity.
Coordinate with finance regarding budgets and forecasts and with legal regarding contract terms and risk allocation.
Build scalable procurement processes, sourcing frameworks, and operating procedures that support future growth.
Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and major contract negotiations while balancing cost, schedule, quality, and supplier risk.
Create repeatable procurement processes and approval frameworks that improve efficiency and consistency.
Provide executive-level communication and reporting related to procurement activities, supplier performance, and commercial strategy.

Senior Manager of Procurement, Oil & Gas Background Profile
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field required.
CPSM, CSCP, or CIPS certification preferred.
NAPM-OG certification highly desirable.
8–12+ years of progressive procurement experience required.
3–5+ years of procurement leadership experience within the Oil & Gas industry required.
Experience building or scaling procurement functions in a project delivery, infrastructure, or energy environment required.
Strong experience sourcing and negotiating major spend categories required.
Experience with category management, supplier risk management, and strategic sourcing required.
Strong contract and commercial management experience including scope definition, bid comparison, vendor selection, and claim/change management required.
Experience partnering with engineering, project management, operations, finance, and legal teams required.
Experience establishing procurement policies, approval frameworks, and sourcing governance required.
Deep understanding of cost control, supplier performance management, and long-term value creation required.
Experience working in dynamic environments where project schedules, specifications, and priorities evolve required.
Strong executive communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions required.
Ability to make decisions and drive outcomes with incomplete information required.
Experience with procurement systems and ERP platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, Oracle JD Edwards, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.
Experience with sourcing and procurement platforms such as Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer, or Ivalua preferred.
Experience with Oil & Gas specific platforms such as WellEz, Quorum, or OpenInvoice preferred.
Experience with spend analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau preferred.
Builder mentality with the ability to create scalable procurement processes rather than simply maintain existing systems required.

Job Requirements
