Senior Financial Reporting Manager Role:
In this role, you will have the responsibility of supervising the organization's accounting operations, guaranteeing the precision and punctuality of financial reporting, and offering valuable insights to facilitate well-informed decision-making.
Supervise daily accounting and bookkeeping operations, including managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, maintaining the general ledger, and conducting reconciliationsÂ
Cultivate strong relationships with external financial partners, including tax accountants and bookkeepers.Â
Prepare and deliver monthly financial closings, profit and loss (P&L) statements, cash flow reports, and critical reports to the Executives.Â
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records, making necessary adjustments and corrections when required.Â
Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.Â
Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Â
Examine financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to communicate the organization's financial well-being to stakeholders.Â
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, including tax filings and statutory reporting requirements.Â
Prepare and coordinate external audits, serving as the primary point of contact for auditors.Â
Collaborate and co-lead the annual budget and re-projection processes.Â
Provide insights and recommendations for enhancing financial processes and efficiencies.Â
Identify areas for potential profitability improvement.Â
Co-manage day-to-day treasury functions.Â
Assist with wire transfers and ACH payments.Â
Monitor cash balances and execute fund transfers as necessary.Â
Coordinate and resolve various banking-related issues and maintain relationships with banking contacts.Â
Perform any other necessary ad hoc tasks.
Senior Financial Reporting Manager Background Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
A minimum of three years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, compliance, auditing, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury management.
Experience working for a small to mid size company with multiple entities/units
Comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
P&L experience
Competence in utilizing accounting software such as QuickBooks, Bill.com, and Paychex.
Proficient understanding of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing procedures.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with a mandatory requirement for advanced Excel skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail.
Timely and effective communication with C-Suite and company management.
Skillful coordination of workflow from various internal clients.
Capability to work independently.
Possessing a positive and proactive attitude.
Strong multitasking skills, ensuring the meeting of deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Skill in presenting information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations with customers, clients, and other cross-functional groups.
