Senior Electrical Engineer
My client located in Sugarland, Texas is in need of a Senior Electrical Engineer. This is an onsite direct hire opportunity.

Our client is an established engineering and manufacturing organization specializing in the design, development, testing, and production of complex industrial and vehicle-based equipment. The company operates in a highly technical environment where engineering teams collaborate to develop innovative products from concept through production while supporting existing product lines and continuous improvement initiatives.

Senior Electrical Engineer Role
Design, develop, and support electrical and electronic systems utilized in vehicle and equipment applications. 
Lead the development of new products while supporting enhancements to existing product lines. 
Create and maintain engineering documentation including Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), deviations, waivers, specifications, and related technical documents. 
Meet with internal stakeholders to define project objectives, design concepts, and performance requirements. 
Collaborate with external customers to understand technical requirements and develop effective engineering solutions. 
Participate in the development of product concepts and detailed designs utilizing Autodesk Inventor. 
Evaluate material selection and determine component suitability for various applications. 
Develop detailed manufacturing specifications, engineering drawings, and Bills of Material (BOMs). 
Design electrical and electronic systems including: 
o    Control junction boxes 
o    Power distribution systems 
o    Batteries and power supplies 
o    Circuit breakers, relays, and fuses 
o    Wiring harnesses and connectors 
o    Switches, sensors, lights, and actuators 
o    Engine control interfaces and control systems 
o    Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) 
Produce complete manufacturing packages and engineering documentation required for production. 
Provide technical support for electronic packaging, remote power transmission, and system integration projects. 
Conduct design validation through computer modeling, testing, and hands on field evaluations. 
Coordinate with engineers, manufacturing teams, suppliers, and stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle. 
Present engineering concepts, design proposals, and technical recommendations to leadership and customers. 
Participate in cross functional and multidisciplinary engineering teams. 
Support project management activities and engineering process improvements. 
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations. 
Travel occasionally to manufacturing facilities, testing locations, and customer sites as required. 

Senior Electrical Engineer Background Profile
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. 
Computer Assisted Design experience with Electrical Schematics and Control Junction Box Layouts. 
10 years of work experience in Electronic/Electrical Engineering with significant field experience. 
5 years of Vehicle Electrical Design experience. 
Proficient using 3D modeling software, preferably Autodesk Inventor. 
Strong understanding of NEC (National Electric Code) design requirements. 
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). 
Strong documentation skills with experience creating technical drawings and engineering specifications. 
Experience designing electrical systems for vehicles, mobile equipment, industrial equipment, or related products. 
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis abilities. 
Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems independently. 
Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
Ability to interact effectively with vendors, customers, engineers, and cross functional teams. 
Self motivated with strong organizational and time management skills. 
Ability to work independently while contributing within a collaborative team environment. 
Previous supervisory experience is considered an asset.

Job Requirements

Must Have Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering 10+ years of Electrical/Electronic Engineering experience 5+ years of Vehicle Electrical Design experience Electrical schematics and control junction box layout experience Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD experience Hands on troubleshooting experience Experience creating BOMs and manufacturing documentation NEC knowledge
