Senior Accountant Role:
In this role, you will be an integral part of the company, providing in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and manufacturing job cost analysis. Additionally, you will have some familiarity with Human Resources processes and best practices to support this role.
Provide backup if the HR Administrator is out to process payroll including reconciling and maintaining all payroll related general ledger accounts.
Reinforce and champion the idea and culture of continuous improvement
Prepare and consolidate financial statements on a monthly basis for executive review
Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliation.
Review and report balances of Cash, A/R, and A/P accounts
Perform General Ledger Reconciliation of accounts
Ensure accuracy of all financial transactions
Prepare and submit invoices to clients, review aging receivables and perform collection duties as necessary
Accountable for A/R, A/P transactions
Calculate and File State Sales and Use Tax on a monthly basis
Responsible for work in process and inventory
Responsible for all government remittances (State Sales Tax, Use, Tax, 401K, etc.)
Perform Month and Year-end closing processes
Perform daily accounting entries, A/R, A/P, and standard adjustments
Maintain the general ledger
Post journal entries
Monitor and track expenses
Assist with month-end close processes
Assist with preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
Support the creation of policies and procedures while guaranteeing adherence to federal, state, and local legal regulations.
Communicate and coordinate with corporate managers for records retention
Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions
Supports staff recruiting and retention through, testing, and interview coordination, conducting and analyzing exit interviews and recommending policy changes
Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting employee orientation and training programs
Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems
Maintains employee benefit programs and informs employees of benefits
Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records
Manages general office supply replenishment, service contracts, staffing providers, mass communication system
Senior Accountant Background Profile:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business is highly desired
3+ years Accounting experience in an accounting role in a manufacturing environment
Human Resources administration experience
MS Office Suite
Advanced Excel
Familiarity with Epicor is a plus
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong team orientation & excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability the multi-task and prioritize
Ability to maintain confidentiality
