Sales Representative – Oil and Gas
Our client, located in Houston, TX, is in need of a Sales Representative – Oil and Gas for a direct hire opportunity. This is a remote opportunity that allows the employee to work from home most of the time.
Company specializes in anti-corrosion solutions for the oil and gas industry
Ability to work remotely from home
Sales Representative Role:
Work directly with the President of the company and the VP of Sales
Will office from home and have weekly meetings in downtown Houston
Responsible for attend sales meetings and trade shows as a representative of the company
Make sales calls to distributors
Follow-up on shipments and update customers
Send invoices and follow up on unpaid invoices
Will be exposed to all areas of the business to better understand the product and its offerings
Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts
Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts under direction of the President
Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up
Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales
Sales Representative Background Profile:
Bachelor’ s degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering is highly preferred
Bachelor’ s degree in other fields will be considered
Must be in the Houston, TX area and be able to office from home
1+ years of directly related experience in sales for an oil and gas service company is required
Knowledge of oilfield tubing is ideal for this role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Will demonstrate a natural flair for influencing people at all levels, internal and external, to achieve common purpose and collective success.
Must display high business ethics.
Ambitious and career orientated.
Must be able to travel as needed
Will likely need to spend at least one month at one of the locations in Europe to learn products
