Sales Manager Role:
In this role, you will report to the President and General Manager and provide leadership to the sales team.
The candidate will be customer service focused, team oriented, hungry to grow professionally, innovative, productive, and strive for continued improvement.
Accountability, supervision, and development of the Sales team.
Responsible for staffing and training the sales organization while providing leadership to all sales personnel.
Monitor and respond to all market trends.
Manage the Company’s internet presence and social media platforms – develop and maintain social media presence.
Oversee sales strategies, set sales goals, and track sales performance.
Weekly generation and analysis of KPIs.
Responsible for maintaining relationships and visibility within current customers and markets, while also have the opportunity to help the company develop other product areas potentially.
Train inside personnel on material purchasing and router writing.
Oversee the set-up and deployment of an electronic CRM system for the organization to allow for real-time updates to Sales activities by all team members.
Work with estimating team to develop winning strategies on individual sales opportunities.
Participate in significant bid review meetings to provide insight and input on market intelligence.
Monitor and manage existing product margin levels to ensure the estimated cost are in line and the existing sale pricing provides the needed profit margins.
Organize and attend trade shows as budgeted for the year and coordinate Company’s participation in the trade shows.
Manage and participate in weekly Sales/Progress meetings.
Sales Manager Background Profile:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or Management preferred
3 -5+ years Sales Management experience in a machine shop industry or an oil business manufacturing area
Previous experience successfully managing and leading a sales team
Proficient MS Office Skills – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong employee relations and interpersonal skills
Empathetic and respectful management style.
Ability to handle the stress of meeting deadlines.
Assertive and energetic self-starter
Desire to learn, grow, and develop professionally
Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented and results-oriented environment.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Well organized and highly motivated. Must be a driver of continuous growth and
Ability to maintain and preserve strict confidentiality.
