Revenue Manager Role:
Record both non-operated and operated revenue transactions, processing monthly revenue distributions by well.
Conduct reconciliations for revenue and production volume.
Execute the monthly revenue close and oversee revenue check distribution.
Generate gas purchase settlement statements and establish accounts receivable for purchasers.
Develop sales allocations for marketed and take-in-kind properties.
Address prior period adjustments by reversing and rebooking due to division order changes and volume allocation adjustments.
Troubleshoot volume allocation issues and resolve division of interest discrepancies.
Ensure accurate recording of monthly revenue, royalty, and transportation costs for designated properties.
Prepare reconciliations and conduct variance analyses for property activities.
Collaborate with other departments to provide necessary information.
Handle escheat filings for various states.
Perform required SOX control procedures and maintain relevant documentation.
Document processes and procedures related to revenue and royalty accounting.
Revenue Manager Background Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business is preferred.
5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
Preferred experience in oil and gas accounting.
Familiarity with Excalibur, Oildex, and JIB link is preferred.
Knowledge of production and withholding taxes, compliance, and regulatory agency reporting is a plus.
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
Proficient in MS Office, with advanced skills in creating and editing Excel spreadsheets.
Experience with automated accounting systems and proficiency in 10-key.
Strong analytical, mathematical, research, and problem-solving skills.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines independently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
