Looking for Growth and flexibility! Our client in Arlington, TX has an immediate need for a for a Retirement Plan Specialist contract to possible hire basis and may consider direct hire for the right skill set.

Retirement Plan Specialist Role:
The Retirement Plan Specialist is responsible for the support and administration of all types of company sponsored retirement plans as well as managing relationships with plan sponsors, financial advisors and third-party administrators.
Coordinate with plan sponsors and financial advisors to provide plan design analysis and recommendations, vendor and participant information to assist in plan decision making.
Plan installation – review information/documentation provided by plan sponsor and financial advisor when a plan is sold.
New plan implementation – review documents and work with third-party administrator (TPA) for newly sold plans based on plan specifications.
Takeover Plans – work with TPA to prepare restated plan document based on document provided from prior firm, and any plan specifications provided by plan sponsor and financial advisor for review and make corrections as necessary and review email for document delivery to client.
Amendments/Restatements – work with TPA to prepare any necessary documentation to amend plans as requested by the client, including updating the financial institution with amended change once documentation is returned executed by client.
Document/Amendment Signature Pages – coordinate the receipt of executed documents and amendments, follow up on missing signatures, and ensure all client follow-ups are communicated and completed.
Required Notices – prepare, review and deliver required notices (safe harbor and auto enroll) to client timely as per the IRS/DOL deadlines.
Coordinate year-end reporting with TPA including plan’ s employee total compensation.
Implement Workflow Procedures – implement and follow a process for a workflow within the firm’ s database to ensure that all staff is kept up-to-date and client service is effectively coordinated.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of present legislation and proposed legislative changes about ERISA law through self-study and company-sponsored training sessions.
Ensure compliance with existing and new laws and regulations applicable to company sponsored retirement plans, including non-discrimination testing.
Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information.
Maintain open and clear communication, both verbal and written, with clients, financial advisors, carriers/vendors and other team members.
Provide superior customer service, including problem solving, timely response to questions and requests
Communicate due dates, timelines and expectations to clients and partners.
Identify problems, summarize and develop strategic solutions.
Scan and maintain digital files.
Update client and prospect database and contact management systems.
Retirement Plan Specialist Background Profile:
Minimum 1 years prior ERISA/retirement industry experience
Ability to obtain Series 6/63 license
Knowledge and experience in review of accounting, asset and payroll contribution
Must have the ability to read and comprehend plan documents
Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, manage tasks and meet deadlines in connection with business operations
Ability to clearly and concisely articulate retirement terminology and specification to clients
Must be able to meet credit and background check requirements to obtain licensing
Enthusiastic attitude, cooperative team player, adaptable to new or changing circumstances, professional demeanor, sensitive to client needs, self-motivated, creative and innovative
Excellent problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills
High level of computer literacy including working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
