Reliability Engineer – Mechanical or Chemical
Our client, located in Pasadena, TX along the ship channel, is in immediate need of a Reliability Engineer – Mechanical or Chemical with some project management expertise for a Direct Hire opportunity.
Reliability Engineer Role:
The main purpose of this role is to develop and manage the preventive maintenance schedule and to act as project manager for small projects under $10 million.
Will reduce premature equipment failures through proper measures, inspections, tests and analysis of equipment condition
Work with team to develop, design and install capital projects
Analyze maintenance issues and develop engineering solutions
Develop ways to reduce or eliminate the need for maintenance through equipment replacement and improvement work
Analyze equipment reliability and maintenance costs and the effects of preventive maintenance
Work with the technical support and maintenance team on equipment repairs, troubleshooting problems and equipment reliability issues
Evaluate existing and new equipment design and installation
Lead incident investigations, utilizing root cause failure analysis
Reliability Engineer Background Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering
Strong mechanical background
8+ years of experience in the refining, petrochemical or power industry
A strong background in rotating equipment is highly desired
Experience with steam turbines with up to 15K horsepower
Experience with Blowers with up to 4K horsepower
Project management experience
Strong knowledge of API codes and welding procedures
