Our client in Fredericksburg, VA has an immediate opening for a Regional Operations Specialist on a direct-hire basis.

Regional Operations Specialist Role:
The Regional Operations Specialist plays a critical role in supporting and optimizing store operations within the assigned region. This position is integral to implementing and executing the company's sales goals and merchandising strategies across various departments. The specialist collaborates closely with District Managers to foster team development, ensure compliance with state laws and company policies, and drive financial success. The role demands a proactive approach in training and developing associates, maintaining safety standards, and enhancing customer service.
Monitor and uphold store standards, overseeing the execution of merchandising plans, promotional displays, and signage to achieve sales objectives.
Collaborate with department merchants to devise and implement regional sales initiatives and solutions.
Communicate goals and processes with store specialists and corporate merchants, assisting with POG and CGO maintenance.
Assess in-stock conditions, identifying training needs and reporting findings to the District Manager and Regional Vice President.
Analyze sales initiatives weekly, providing recommendations to improve customer experience and reduce shrinkage.
Enforce safety, sanitation, and food safety regulations, ensuring compliance and promoting goodwill with government agencies.
Support store management training and development programs, identifying and nurturing talent for long-term career growth.
Evaluate backroom inventory levels and safety conditions to minimize shrink and out-of-code items.
Assist with inventory preparation and execution, maintaining communication with the inventory service team.
Ensure associates adhere to the dress code policy, promoting a professional image.
Support the development of Assistant Store Managers, Department Managers, trainees, and interns.
Collaborate with Customer Experience Specialists to improve customer experience performance metrics.
Assist with projects in districts outside the region as needed.
Work with District Managers to drive sales, manage expenses, engage associates, and support community leadership initiatives.
This role involves collaboration across various positions, including District Managers, store specialists, and merchants, to meet performance expectations. It does not directly supervise associates.

Regional Operations Specialist Background Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Business preferred.
Minimum of five years' experience as the top store leader in Conventional, Natural, Specialty, or Club Grocery formats.
Multi-Unit grocery leadership is preferred. 
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to train and develop associates, fostering a positive work environment.
Comprehensive understanding of store operations, sales strategies, and customer service principles.
Knowledge of state laws and company policies regarding safety, sanitation, and food safety.
Current driver license.
