Real Estate Paralegal-Dallas, TX
Our client, a well-established law firm in Dallas seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal for their practice. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys managing transactions from contract through closing.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience handling commercial real estate matters and be comfortable working independently while providing exceptional support to attorneys and clients.
Real Estate Paralegal Responsibilities:
- Assist attorney with commercial and residential real estate transactions from inception through closing.
- Prepare, review, and revise purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, deeds, closing documents, and other real estate-related documents.
- Order and review title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and lien searches.
- Coordinate due diligence and maintain transaction checklists and closing timelines.
- Prepare closing binders and organize transaction files.
- Communicate with clients, title companies, lenders, surveyors, and opposing counsel regarding transaction status and required documentation.
- Review corporate documents and entity records for real estate acquisitions and financings.
- Prepare organizational documents for business entities as needed.
- Conduct legal and public records research related to property ownership and transactions.
- File and record real estate documents with the appropriate county and state agencies.
- Maintain electronic and physical client files while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Assist attorneys with special projects and other transactional matters as needed.
Real Estate Paralegal Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Real Estate Paralegal.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent combination of relevant experience.
- Significant experience supporting commercial real estate transactions.
- Strong understanding of title review, surveys, due diligence, financing, and closing procedures.
- Working knowledge of Texas real estate practices and documentation.
- Experience working with title companies, lenders, developers, investors, and commercial property owners.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple active transactions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and legal document management systems.
Real Estate Paralegal Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with commercial leasing.
- Experience preparing corporate formation and governance documents.
- Knowledge of entity structures, including LLCs, partnerships, and corporations.
- Experience supporting real estate finance transactions.
