Our client in Phoenix, Arizona has an immediate need for a Real Estate In-House Counsel on a direct hire basis.

Real Estate In-House Counsel Role:
The Real Estate In-House Counsel will provide legal counsel and support to the company's real estate operations, including property acquisition, development, leasing, and management
Review and negotiate real estate purchase agreements, leases, and other related contracts
Conduct due diligence on potential real estate acquisitions, including title review, zoning analysis, and environmental assessments
Provide legal guidance on land use and zoning matters, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and ordinances
Draft and review construction contracts, architect agreements, and other construction-related documents
Advise on property management issues, including tenant disputes, lease enforcement, and property maintenance
Assist with real estate financing transactions, including mortgage loans, refinancing, and loan workouts
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including development, finance, and property management teams, to facilitate successful real estate transactions
Stay abreast of changes in real estate law and regulations and provide guidance to the company on legal developments that may impact its operations
Manage outside counsel as necessary and oversee litigation matters related to real estate
Real Estate In-House Counsel Background Profile:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Active membership in good standing with the state bar association
Minimum 2 years of experience practicing real estate law, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department
Strong understanding of real estate transactions, including acquisition, development, leasing, and financing
Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Experience managing legal projects and outside counsel
Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local real estate laws and regulations
Experience working in the real estate development or investment industry
Familiarity with tax implications of real estate transactions
Proficiency in real estate-related software and databases preferred
