Job Description
Company Profile:
One of the largest medical practices in North Texas
Radiologic Technologist Role:
Follow instructions from Physicians regarding which area of the patient’s body needs imaging
Talk the patient through the procedure and answer questions to lower their anxiety
Work closely with the patients, physicians, and medical support staff
Correctly position the patient, adjust the imaging equipment to the specified position
Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to themselves and to the patient
Follow correct techniques and procedures such as patient shielding
Obtain quality diagnostic radiographic as requested by the doctors
Keep good patient records
Maintain radiology supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating future needs and placing orders
Maintain a safe and clean working environment
Radiologic Technologist Background Profile:
High School diploma or the equivalent
Course completion in radiologic technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Required - current license with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and Texas Department of HealthÂ
Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in orthopedics or urgent care
High volume experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Professional demeanor
Detail oriented and desire to work in a busy and fast-paced environment
Knowledge of anatomy and physiologyÂ
U arm experience
Knowledge of digital radiology equipment and technical knowledge to maintain equipment
Ability to travel between facilitiesÂ
Monday – Friday 8am -5pm – No weekends, nights, or holidays
