Property Accounting Manager
Job Description
Our Dallas-based real estate client is looking for a Property Accounting Manager to add to their team on a direct hire basis.

Property Accounting Manager Role:
Oversee financial reporting over multiple properties in the Company's portfolio.
Compile month-end reporting packages and scrutinize budget-to-actual variances.
Supervise the duties, tasks, and output of Property Accountants.
Address inquiries from Property Managers and provide support.
Offer guidance and training on technical subjects such as gross potential rent, insurance claim accounting, recognition of interest rate cap marks, accelerated rent, A/R write-offs, and capitalization practices.
Aid in crafting the annual budget.
Handle lender reporting protocols.
Assess distribution reports and cash analyses.
Prepare and supervise annual work papers for year-end tax filings and external audits.
Contribute to departmentwide efforts to enhance procedures and processes.
Report to and Assist the Vice President with miscellaneous projects.
Property Accounting Manager Background Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
4+ years of prior real estate property-level accrual basis accounting
1+ years of management experience required
Multifamily real estate company experience is highly preferred, at least commercial/residential experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel application
Experience with Entrata (current software), MRI, and/or Yardi accounting software preferred
