President of Operations – Healthcare role:
The President of Operations - Healthcare reports to the CEO and ensures the consistent and well-coordinated delivery of quality care consistent with the organization’ s mission, vision, legacy, values and strategic direction.
Plans, prioritizes, recommends policy, and oversees the development and execution of operating and service standards and operating budgets for assigned departments/service lines while increasing revenue and profitability as established by the CEO.
Instrumental in recommending and implementing performance improvement efforts throughout the organization, in conjunction and cooperation with other leaders.
Effectively and collaboratively working with members of the executive and leadership team to accomplish the goals and objectives of the organization.
Assisting in the preparation of short term and long range strategic plans, supporting tactics, and related business plans/budgets based on broad corporate goals and growth objectives.
Maintaining a sound plan of corporate organization establishing policies to ensure adequate management development and to provide for capable management succession.
Developing and implementing procedures and controls to promote communication and adequate information flow.
On behalf of CEO, works directly with the senior leader team in organizing and reporting outcomes to key stakeholders.
Establishing operating policies, goals, and objectives consistent with the Chief Executive Officer’ s broad policies and initiatives.
Develops, implements and monitors operating budgets for areas of responsibility. Create efficiencies and improve operational processes.
Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports and all agreements vendor and employed.
Managing subordinate department directors and managers to the accomplishment of their assigned goals in multiple departments.
Ensuring the responsibilities, authorities and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined, understood, and being achieved.
Ensuring that all organization activities and operations within the areas managed are carried out in compliance with local, state and federal regulations, in addition to all standards and laws governing in the respective states assigned.
Developing relationships with managed care organizations, governmental agencies and professional associations.
Preparing, analyzing and interpreting business plans, financial reports & contracts and briefs the CEO & CFO as needed.
Responsible for all due diligence, execution and integration of all mergers and acquisitions within assigned region and monitor performance post close to meet proforma targets and goals.
Responsible for interviewing, hiring, assigning and directing work, counseling, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining personnel for direct reports and subordinates.
President of Operations - Healthcare Background Profile:
Bachelor’ s degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field.
Master’ s degree is a plus.
Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive and significant leadership experience in managing labor in a service organization.
For profit experience preferred.
Must have hands on experience in leading and/or directing complex multi-disciplinary care operations that includes direct responsibility of the services assigned.
A solid understanding of financial management, business planning, strategic planning, and operational assessment.
A change agent that can cultivate a culture of accountability, compassion, and financial stewardship.
Recent leadership experience in a care provider organization such as home health, skilled nursing, acute care facilities or adult IDD services.
