Pharmacist in Charge
Job Description
We are currently looking for an experienced and committed Pharmacist in Charge to take on the responsibility of leading daily retail pharmacy operations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas.

Pharmacist in Charge Role:
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and maintaining a patient-centered approach.
- Lead and support a dedicated team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
- Utilize PioneerRx pharmacy software to optimize workflow and enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage compliance packaging operations using Dispill for accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate weekday deliveries to patients and facilities to ensure safe and timely service.
- Maintain meticulous records of prescriptions, controlled substances, and inventory.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to uphold operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and the local community.
- Ensure consistent adherence to quality assurance and compliance standards.
Pharmacist in Charge Background Profile:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited program.
- Active pharmacist license in good standing.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail pharmacy.
- Previous experience in a leadership or management role is preferred.
- Thorough understanding of pharmacy laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with PioneerRx pharmacy management software is a bonus.
- Preferred experience with compliance packaging (Dispill).

With more than 35+ years in the grocery retail industry, Mike started as a part-time courtesy clerk. The later certification was in collaboration with the Western Association of Food Chains. And, he has received numerous awards and accolades for customer service and leadership.
Mike has a passion for community service, having served as a board member for the Bear Creek Specialty Utility District (formerly Lavon Water Supply Corporation) from 2007-2013; Community Independent School District board trustee from 2013-2017; and currently serves as Lavon City Councilman, Place 2 since 2017.
