Personal Injury Paralegal Role:
Produce legal documents, letters, and pleadings such as complaints, interrogatories, request for production and request for admission, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits under the supervision of a lawyer.
Assist lawyers with trial preparation by organizing exhibits, aiding with client meetings, submitting motions, and coordinating witnesses.
Meet or confer with clients to assist preparing responses to discovery
Support attorney ahead of mediation including creating summaries of expenses, costs, and medical records
Negotiate liens, medical bills, and settlements with providers or insurance companies
Maintain Calendar, which includes keeping track of all deadlines, scheduling depositions mediations, and hearings
Communicating with opposing counsel, courts, clients, adjusters, and lien holders
Organize case filing systems so that everything is properly categorized and simple to find, as well as perform other administrative tasks, as necessary.

Personal Injury Paralegal Background Profile:
Must have 5+ years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer, preferably in a personal injury law firm.
Completion of a NALA (National Association of Legal Assistants) certification program strongly preferred
Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experienced with case management software (Neos), is preferred but not necessary
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
Be able to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks at once to ensure all deadlines are met
High attention to detail and accuracy
