Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal Position:
In this role, you will offer extensive support to attorneys throughout the litigation process, from initiating cases to trial. Your duties will involve managing court deadlines, drafting legal paperwork, facilitating client communication, and meticulously maintaining case files. This position is well-suited for individuals who excel in fast-paced, deadline-oriented settings.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Oversee and manage the legal service inbox
- Prepare pleadings, discovery, motions, notices, and trial materials
- Ensure thorough organization of digital files using Filevine
- Calendar all hearings, depositions, deadlines, and significant events
- Summarize medical records and other evidence for attorney assessment
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, witnesses, and experts
- Track litigation expenses and handle court filing fees and invoices
- Compile exhibit binders, subpoenas, and trial-related documents
Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal
- Prior experience in personal injury law is mandatory
- Sound knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and local court protocols
- Proficient in drafting discovery, motions, pleadings, and pre-trial documents
- Strong organizational and communication aptitude
- Keen attention to detail and adept at managing multiple deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems (experience with Filevine is preferred)
- Preferred possession of a paralegal certificate
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) would be advantageous
