Payroll Specialist Role:
In this role, you will manage commission payments, enhance the efficiency of the commission process, and ensure commissions are paid accurately.
You will be responsible for inputting commission data and working with the Accounting team to process the commission payments.
You will work closely with internal staff and be the go to person to answer their commission questions, while providing an outstanding customer service experience.
You will use accounting systems and enter manual data as needed.
Maintain correct fee schedules in commission system to correctly change advisors.
Reconcile commission statements to bank deposits and input deposit information to commission system daily
Processing commission payout every two weeks thru commission system
Produce advisor commission statements by pay period, detailing all production and fees charged
Must have experience generating report data from various systems, as well as working with and preparing data/reports in Excel
You will work on project oriented tasks with the accounting department as needed
Payroll Specialist Background Profile:
High school diploma or the equivalent
Bachelor’s degree is a plus
3+ years experience processing commissions for payroll
Ideally experience in the Insurance industry/Knowledge of insurance (variable, fixed, mutual funds)
MS Office Suite - specifically Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables and formulas)
Desire to learn and improve processes – self-motivated
Impeccable organizational skills
Strong attention to details
Problem Solving skills
Working knowledge of Jaccomo is a plus; if no experience, must be a quick, solid learner of new technologies
