We have a fantastic opportunity for a Payroll Lead with our busy and growing client on a contract to possible hire basis in Fort Worth, TX.

Payroll Lead Role: 
Provide back up and support to the Director of Payroll 
Processing information for bi-weekly payrolls and reviewing for accuracy before submission 
Audits work completed by others to ensure accuracy and system integrity
Issuing manual checks, stop payments, and bank reversals
Processing/compiling weekly ACH file on designated days and send to Director of Payroll for approval
Processing/reviewing data online for paycards/direct deposit
Ensure assigned/issued paycards or other payroll related materials are disbursed to location
Responding to payroll-related inquires made by internal and external staff in a timely manner, escalating when necessary
Assisting to complete wage verification requests and payroll information subpoenas in a timely and accurate manner
Handling any client escalations that arise with the utmost decorum and tact
Help with scaling processes and people as the company grows – they are in the beginning stages right now, and what works now, may not work in the future
Coach, lead, guide, cross train and mentor team members to develop their potential
Ensuring full compliance with company’ s confidentiality policies and procedures

Payroll Lead Background Profile:
Associate’ s degree in accounting/finance or related field
2+ years’ experience in payroll/accounting environment
Multi-state payroll experience required (OH, IN, TX, TN)
Experience managing others
UltiPro or Paycom experience is preferred, but another HRMS payroll system experience will be considered (Workday, Paylocity, ADP, Peoplesoft, etc)
Proficient in MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook and Access
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong sense of detail and ability to conduct multiple tasks in effective and efficient manner.
Ability to work productively and collaboratively with peers, supervisors and outside vendors.
Must be able to adhere to deadlines
Able to multi-task and prioritize
