Part-time Energy Specialist Role:
In this role, you will build relationships and gain trust from your clients as you develop and drive an energy conservation program that is designed specifically for your client.
You will spend time collecting data and identifying savings opportunities.
Meet with various personnel within the organization and gain their support to implement energy conservation strategies.
You will use technology and software to manage and analyze utility bill data and energy consumption.
Perform onsite audits
Requires strong attention to detail to make sure savings measurements are accurate.
Meet with your manager regularly to report on the status of the client’s energy program.
Work with local public relations to promote the success of the client’s energy program.
Build strong rapport and open communication with all personnel including leadership, facilities, maintenance and custodial staff.
Report any safety hazards that you observe and coordinate with maintenance regarding necessary repairs.
Be timely in completing reports that show your progress and performance in relationship to the implementation plan.
Part-time Energy Specialist Background Profile:
3+ years solid work experience – no job hoppers
Will consider someone with a high school diploma or the equivalent with strong work experience of 6+ years
Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desire and ability to build trust and strong relationships with all levels of personnel
Experience with conducting presentations in large and small group
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Ability to set and manage your own schedule
MS Office Suite skills – with a strong emphasis in Excel
Technologically strong with computers and handheld tablets
Able to work irregular hours
Possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive to client locations
