Manufacturing Operations Manager
Join our team as a Manufacturing Operations Manager overseeing production and fabrication operations near Tampa, FL. Lead the manufacturing process, ensure inventory and procurement efficiency, and guarantee the timely delivery of spec-compliant orders. Manufacturing Operations Manager Role:
- Lead the shop division, reporting directly to executive leadership
- Manage production and fabrication operations
- Interpret DOT signing plans and determine materials and quantities needed
- Process internal orders and ensure on-time delivery
- Oversee procurement and negotiate pricing with vendors
- Manage relationships with suppliers and coordinate raw material purchases
- Supervise inventory management and distribution
- Organize outbound logistics to branch locations
- Ensure accurate production processes with in-house tools
- Support shop staff, drive daily operations and accountability
- Maintain safety, compliance, and quality control standards
- Identify areas for operational improvements
- Deliver excellent customer service internally
Manufacturing Operations Manager Background Profile:
- Road sign manufacturing experience with DOT knowledge
- Ability to interpret and generate accurate production orders
- Background in production, procurement, logistics, and inventory management
- Familiarity with sign shop tools and processes
- Knowledge of materials like sheet metal and reflective sheeting
- Proven leadership skills in a manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making abilities
