Chief Development Officer Role:
- Drive the organization’s philanthropic initiatives
- Oversee all aspects of fund development aligned with the organization’s mission and strategic goals
- Lead annual giving, capital campaigns, endowment growth, special events, and community engagement outreach
- Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategy supporting annual giving and capital campaign objectives
- Cultivate, solicit, and steward donor relationships
- Lead multi-million annual funding goal and capital campaign phase
- Work closely with senior leadership, board members, and volunteers to maximize fundraising impact
- Cultivate major gifts and corporate sponsorships
- Design innovative donor engagement strategies
- Build relationships with local leaders, businesses, and philanthropic organizations
- Support fundraising and community engagement initiatives in local branches
- Collaborate with marketing and communications teams
- Provide regular reports on fundraising progress and opportunities
Chief Development Officer Background Profile:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 7-10 years of Non-Profit Fundraising experience
- Proven success in leading large-scale fundraising efforts generating a minimum of $3M annually
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Expertise in donor relations and engaging diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of strategic campaign planning and donor database management
- Passion for organizational mission and strategic vision alignment
