Job Description
Our client in west Houston, Texas has an immediate need for an Office Administrator to join their team on a direct-hire basis. This is an in-office position.

Office Administrator Role:
The office administrator wears many hats and is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and procedures of our organization including but not limited to payroll, benefits administration, vendor agreements, facilities maintenance requests, hiring and basic HR duties for a smaller firm.
Maintaining office operations and procedures.
Overseeing payroll and benefits administration as well as hiring, onboarding, new hire orientation and training.
Evaluating and analyzing company financials for management review.
Work with our IT vendor to ensure security of data, network access and backup systems to create, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures.
Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions.
Renewing vendor agreements, insurance policies, rental agreements, etc.
Preparing and filing annual property tax submission and auditing payroll tax payments.
Coordinating administrative responsibilities for SEC compliance.
Provide cybersecurity training and awareness for employees.
Consulting with management team on decisions that impact staff.
Event planning, anticipate and resolve company related issues as well as act as the go to person.
Coordinator of Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) for natural disasters/ inclement weather.
Negotiating and interfacing with service companies and service providers to maintain operations as well as identify and implement business process improvements.
Office Administrator Background Profile:
Bachelor’s Degree Required.
5+ years of relevant experience in office management, operations, or human resources (experience within financial planning industry highly preferred).
Ability to identify and diagnose operational issues and understand root cause analysis.
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Access and technology software in general.
Must be tech savvy and enjoy using various technology tools to complete tasks.
Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a clear and friendly manner.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to multitask while meeting deadlines.
Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar software.
Experience with Microsoft Access a huge plus.
