Our client located in Louisville, Colorado would like to hire a Medical Receptionist to join their busy practice for a direct hire opportunity.Â

Medical Receptionist Role:
Medical receptionist will greet each patient upon arrival by checking them in and ensure each patient’s file is up to date, scan insurance cards, picture ID, etc., into the patient’s EMR
Responsible for appointment scheduling and reschedulingÂ
Handle confidential information and patient medical record information
Take payments, pre-payments, and collect on past-due balancesÂ
Daily auditing of superbills and providing payment documentation to the business office Â
Answer phone callsÂ
Maintain timely patient flow
Check that testing is ordered and check that the information is in the EMR prior to the provider appointment
Daily confirmation calls to each patient; call patients at least 24 hours prior to their appointment with the provider
Complete schedule requests sent by doctors and nurses within a 24-hour period
Know insurance contracts and how to apply those to correctly collect payments from patients and also answer basic insurance questions
Offer discount programsÂ
Mail out patient information and education materials, when neededÂ
Scan documents into the EMR, as requestedÂ
Assure the readiness of the waiting areas for each workday
Open the building at the designated time and ready computers at the front desk prior to patient arrival for the day
Secure the building at the close of each workday by locking all entrancesÂ
Participate in staff meetings and other in-services or training and is accountable for the information/education provided at the meetings
Medical Receptionist Background Profile:
High school diploma required.
Associate’s degree/Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
Minimum 1 year of customer service experience required.
Previous medical receptionist experience
Must be vaccinated or have an exemption
Strong computer skills, ability to use basic office equipmentÂ
Strong ability to follow procedures is essential
Must be organized, with a strong ability to multi-task, prioritize and have strong attention to detail and a strong ability to utilize time efficiently
Must have excellent customer service skills
Maintain strict confidentiality for all patient and clinic information Â
