Medical Office Manager Role:
Supervision of patient scheduling, registration, medical records, insurance authorizations, billing and collection, data entry, processing reports and posting of payments
Medical practice is cash only
Order office supplies
Supervise office staff
Maintain medical and staff records
Assist with transferring manual charts into the MD Toolbox database
Work with psychiatrist and therapist to identify potential obstacles to office functions
Arrange cleaning staff and emergency maintenance services as necessary
Ensure regulatory compliance with HIPPA, OSHA, labor laws and other federal, state and local regulations
Develop, implement and maintain office policies and procedures
Maintain and manage all filing and organizational systems for the practice
Coordinate staff meeting for administrative and clinical staff


Medical Office Manager Background Profile:
Proven work experience as a medical office manager
Knowledge of accounting, data, and administrative processes and principles
Ability to handle medical records and interactions regarding patients and families discreetly
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
Knowledge of medical issues and terminology
Necessary IT skills for a medical office
MS Office Suite – specifically Word, Excel and Outlook
MD Toolbox – experience with this e-prescribing software is a plus
Ability to help develop the website is a plus
Flexible, quick learner
