Client in Fort Worth, TX has a need for two Medical Claims Denials and AR Denials Specialists for a project that will last through the end of 2023.

Medical Claims Denials and AR Denials Specialists Role:
For this project, you will be focusing on a backlog of billing that needs to be resolved.  This could involve resolution, or could be determining if it is an accurate charge.  
The primary payer for all states is Medicaid.
Responsibilities will include determining the root cause of the denial, appealing the denial, pursing the payor for reconsideration, taking appropriate resolution steps, tracking recoveries, and successfully recovering denied amounts as efficiently as possible.
You will assist in tracking and reporting payor denials and contract/authorization related discrepancies.
You will resolve claim denials, adjusting claims as required by plan reimbursement or by filing appeals.
You will contact the appropriate state for claim resolution guidance.
Responsible for performing billing audits and quality control functions.


Medical Claims Denials and AR Denials Specialists Background Profile:
High School diploma or equivalent
2+ years of claim denial resolution experience
Must have experience in working denials, AR Resolution experience, billing experience
Experience and familiarity with medical billing software
MS Office Suite – Intermediate Excel – ability to manipulate data
The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to multi-task effectively. 
Ability to effectively appeal denials and communicate with payors and other departments
Knowledge of the payor appeal timeframes, levels and operations
Healthcare industry is required 
Knowledge of compliance regulations as they pertain to billing
