Mechanical Engineer Role:
Mechanical Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise to the engineering team. 
Will provide general and mechanical engineering subject matter expertise, detailed design support, and technical assistance. 
This position will serve as the subject matter expert for mechanical design and integration, root cause analysis, and hands-on troubleshooting. 
This position will support day-to-day engineering demands and select projects.
Regularly design, develop, and execute test and evaluation protocols for mechanical, electrical, structural, and automotive equipment, components, assemblies, or systems. 
Apply mathematical and engineering principles and methods.
Perform extensive testing and evaluation of designs.
Research and study new technologies for boht new and legacy products.
Serve as project manager for Certification & Standards Program. 
Advise on system integration issues across platforms and products and disposition of new and non-conforming equipment items.
Work with vendors, suppliers, and other third parties.
Document and maintain plans, reports, drawings, specifications, instructions, procedures, and guidelines.

Mechanical Engineer  Background Profile:
Backhelors degree, Ideally Mechanical Engineer Technology degree
5+ years of experience showing progressing increases in technical responsibility
Electrical Vehicle design and/or assembly certifications are a huge plus
AutoCAD and Solidworks or Inventor skills
Conceptual knowledge of custom vehicle production experience is a plus
Experience working with engineers, technicians, drafters
Experience with mechanical, structural,  and certification
Familiar with quality, supply chain, production, and engineering
Experience managing single and multi-phase projects
Must be familiar with estimation (time & cost), design and configuration development, bill of material development, manufacturing sequence development, systems design, sustainment and maintenance, and test and evaluation
Experience working with ERP and MRP enterprise systems
