Mechanical Design Engineer Role:
The hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer will design, model, and oversee fabrication of mechanical systems.
Your role blends SolidWorks design, mechanical engineering analysis, and project coordination.
Create, review, and maintain mechanical designs, assemblies, 3D models, and drawings
Oversee project design tasks and coordinate with engineering/manufacturing teams
Mentor junior personnel (where applicable) and act as a technical resource
Support R&D and process improvement initiatives
Ensure designs are manufacturable, reliable, and efficient
Document engineering processes and project progress
Work as part of a team to reach goals/milestones and hit deadlines.

Mechanical Design Engineer Background Profile:
Strong mechanical engineering background or equivalent hands-on experience
Proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modeling, assemblies, drawings)
Experience in:
Mechanism/machine design
Metal fabrication technologies (sheet metal, machining, etc.)
Design for manufacturability and reliability
Ability to perform mechanical analysis of parts and assemblies
Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks independently
Hands-on fabrication experience
Automation systems experience
Automotive experience is a plus
Aviation experience is a plus
Electrical, controls, or systems design experience is a plus
AutoCAD / 3D design experience
FEA using SimSolid or SolidWorks Simulation
Mechanical Engineering Degree is a plus but not a hard requirement for the right candidate.
