Job Description
Our client located in Sugarland, TX has an immediate need for Materials and Production Planner this is a direct hire opportunity. This is a 9/80 work schedule, every other Friday off.Â

Materials and Production Planner:
The Planner will provide support to the Manufacturing team through managing inventory and production schedules, while also ensuring optimal quantities of inventory/production materials.
Responsible for providing daily, monthly and yearly schedules to the Manufacturing team
Manage the opening and closing of all work orders for the Manufacturing group, while ensuring materials are issued correctly and variances are kept as low as possibleÂ
Materials and Production Planner is responsible for planning, developing and controlling the inventory budget; including interpretation of sales forecasts and history, in accordance with company goals and objectives
Revises schedule according to manufacturing work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of workers, parts, material, machines, and equipment
Materials and Production Planner will develop the master production schedule and review manufacturing orders
Adjust builds and purchases based on external sales and internal factors
Calculate variances on work orders based on materials, labor, or cost variances
Materials and Production Planner will track all variances and work orders for audit purposes
Work in compliance with all OH&S standards and legislated obligations
Materials and Production Planner Background Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in supply chain planning, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry
2+ years experience in working with ERP systems
Syteline ERP system experience preferred Â
Advance skills with Microsoft suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, demand forecasting, inventory management, and production scheduling.
Strong understanding of Manufacturing processes and workflows
Knowledge of project management, planning, and evaluation
Intermediate knowledge of Accounting principles
