Our very successful and growing client in Azle, TX is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer on a direct hire basis.

Manufacturing Engineer Role:
In this role, you will have opportunity to enjoy designing new processes and improving old ones
Understand, adhere, and demonstrate the company’ s commitment to quality and safety
Reinforce and champion the idea and culture of continuous improvement
Understand manufacturing costs and take ownership of manufacturing cost reduction initiatives
Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing Bills of Material and Methods of Manufacturer 
Develop and communicate quotes for new products or product lines
Develop CAD models and CNC programs to support estimating and production requirements
Confer with Sales and customers concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods
Confer with vendors to determine product specifications are being met
Develop a business case for the purchase of capital equipment
Evaluate specialty materials or components according to specifications and quality standards 
Project manage New Product Introductions to certify manufacturing bills and methods and update estimates


Manufacturing Engineer Background Profile:
Bachelor’ s degree preferred - Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or equivalent experience
7+ years in a manufacturing environment
7+ years of experience in an Engineering, Estimating, and Project Management
7+ years of hands-on machining experience, both conventional and NC
3rd, 4th, and 5th Axis Machining and CNC Programming, Swiss experienced highly preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point)
Must have advanced ERP experience – ie. SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Syteline or similar production management system
Superior knowledge of machined product design, materials, manual and CNC machining techniques & equipment, tools and processes with robust experience with outside processes
Ability to read and accurately interpret engineering drawings, including, but not limited to: customer Bills of Materials, specifications and tolerances
Well-developed verbal and written communication, collaboration, and time management skills
Excellent organizational skills, prioritization, and planning skills
Understand/use techniques for effective control of quality, cost, and scheduling
Ability to calculate / estimate product costs
Knowledge of management principles involved in strategic planning and forecasting including people, material, and equipment resource allocation
Knowledge and familiarity with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing work area practices is preferred, including 5-S, Visual Controls, Standard Work, work center metrics, and continuous improvement processes and able to instruct others in these practices
Proficient knowledge of properties and typical applications for metal alloys including: aluminum, stainless, alloy, carbon and tool steel
Be a big-picture thinker
Specific knowledge and program / design capability for CNC Lathe, Mill, and Swiss machining
