Loss Prevention Manager Role:
The Loss Prevention Manager ensures a safe and secure store/workplace through objective identification of loss and risk opportunities.
Manager duties include training, directing work, and problem resolution.
Display exemplary customer service, acts as a role model for employees, and enforces customer service standards.
Drive shrink reduction and protect company assets.
Detect, investigate and resolve internal and external fraudulent activity and inaccuracies.
Manage Loss Prevention to maximize sales and profits.
Ensure that established store safety standards are met daily.
Oversees company loss prevention initiatives.
Develop and maintain knowledge of Loss Prevention industry and practices.
Subject matter expert in company policies and operational processes.
Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
Monitor security camera system.
Coordinate outside security schedules.
Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
Loss Prevention Manager Background Profile:
Associate degree in related field and two or more years of Loss Prevention experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
Ability to communicate with customers and employees.
Ability to work with confidential information.
Wicklander-Zulawski interviewing certification preferred.

Throughout his career, Mike has placed an emphasis on professional development and continuing education. He was in the charter class of Brookshire University, graduating as salutatorian. He also has earned certificates of proficiency in management specialized leadership and retail management from Tyler Junior College. The later certification was in collaboration with the Western Association of Food Chains. And, he has received numerous awards and accolades for customer service and leadership.
Mike has a passion for community service, having served as a board member for the Bear Creek Specialty Utility District (formerly Lavon Water Supply Corporation) from 2007-2013; Community Independent School District board trustee from 2013-2017; and currently as Lavon City Councilman, Place 2 since 2017.
