Litigation Legal Assistant Role
Organize and maintain correspondence, document, and computer-based files
Provide telephone coverage for team, deliver messages, arrange teleconferencing options, and conference calls
Arranges appointments, coordinate meetings, makes travel arrangements
Process and submit reimbursement requests
Convert handwritten draft notes or tape dictation from correspondence, memoranda, reports, and other documents
Review and route incoming mail
Perform support services regarding courier deliveries, document processing center assistance and conference room reservations
Work with a variety of assigned attorneys and practice group areas as needed
Litigation Legal Assistant Background Profile
Proficient with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
5+ years of Litigation legal experience
Ability to type at a level of 70 WPM
Proficient with Document Management Systems
Proficient in Adobe
Knowledge of legal billing software (preferably Aderant)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail with superior proofreading abilities
Working knowledge of creating and editing legal documents
E-filing experience necessary
Strong understanding of the county, state and federal court systems
Ability to successfully work in a fast-paced environment with various attorneys and teams
