Job Description
A growing multi-service law firm in Houston, Texas is hiring a litigation legal assistant with defense experience on a direct hire basis.

Litigation Legal Assistant Role:
The litigation legal assistant must have 5+ years of experience in defense litigation.
The litigation legal assistant will be tasked with case management including tracking deadlines, organizing and managing case files, and ensuring all documents are stored according to firm standards.
Assisting with formatting documents for discovery and preparing/responding to interrogatories and requests for production.
Preparing trial exhibits, witness lists, and other tasks to prepare for trial.
E-filing motions, pleadings, and other legal documents as required.
Communicating with clients regarding case updates, obtaining information, and scheduling appointments.
Preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery related documents.
Providing administrative support including calendar management, filing, scanning, faxing, and manage correspondence.
Litigation Legal Assistant Profile:
5+ years supporting multiple attorneys in complex defense litigation
Familiarity with inputting attorney billable time
Ability to draft legal documents
Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite
Exceptional spelling and grammatical skills
Ability to type 60+ WPM
Mentality that no task is too small
Ability to work autonomously
