Litigation Attorney Role
The Litigation Attorney will handle commercial defense cases in all stages of litigation including trial attendance, mediations, depositions, and more.
Step in and take over cases when needed, ensuring continuity and quality of legal services.
Independently manage a diverse caseload of commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution.
Develop and implement case strategies that align with client objectives, ensuring effective and efficient resolution of disputes.
Conduct legal research to stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents that impact ongoing cases.
Draft, review, and file a variety of legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
Conduct depositions of witnesses, parties, and experts, with a focus on gathering critical information to support case strategy.
Represent clients in court, including presenting evidence, examining witnesses, and making persuasive arguments to judges and juries.
Prepare for trial by organizing exhibits, creating trial notebooks, and coordinating with experts and witnesses.
Litigation Attorney Background Profile
Licensed to practice law in Oklahoma (required).
A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a strong preference for defense work.
Proven trial experience.
Experience conducting depositions, mediations, and handling pre-trial motions.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; a writing sample, preferably a legal brief, will be required during the application process.
Ability to work independently in a hands-off environment, taking initiative and asking questions as needed.
Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to work well within a team and contribute to a supportive work environment.
