Paralegal Role:
The Paralegal position involves providing essential clerical, research, and trial preparation assistance to attorneys. This role is well-suited for an individual who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to contribute to a committed legal team.
- Conduct meetings with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases and projects.
- Draft and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and interrogatories.
- Research and analyze statutes, regulations, judicial decisions, and legal sources; prepare written analysis for attorneys.
- Interview clients and witnesses, and prepare summaries of statements.
- Organize and maintain case files, including evidence, exhibits, depositions, and pleadings.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, potentially attending trials and hearings.
- Track and manage records of billable hours.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Paralegal Background Profile:
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field (required); Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- Paralegal certificate (required).
- Related legal experience (preferred).
Skills:
- Strong communication, organizational, and research skills.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while upholding accuracy and confidentiality.
