Key Responsibilities for the Legal Assistant Role
- Providing crucial support to the team by managing a substantial caseload
- Organizing and prioritizing tasks, ensuring adherence to deadlines
- Facilitating smooth case preparation and management for attorneys
- Handling daily practice operations, including filings, scheduling, and correspondence
- Acting as a primary point of contact for clients and court personnel
- Adapting efficiently to changing priorities and maintaining accurate case files
Qualifications for Legal Assistant Position
- Minimum of 3 years of Legal Assistant experience, preferably in litigation or law firm setting
- Proficient in case management, legal filings, and e-filing procedures
- Familiarity with property tax law/litigation is advantageous but not mandatory
- Associate's degree, Legal Assistant certification, or equivalent experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities with a knack for meeting deadlines
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and adaptability to new legal software
- Professional demeanor with outstanding interpersonal skills
- Self-driven, proactive, and accountable for tasks and duties
