Job Description
Our client in Phoenix, Arizona has an immediate need for a Legal Assistant on a contract to hire basis.

Legal Assistant Role:
The Legal Assistant will assist in managing case files, drafting legal documents, communicating with clients and insurance companies, and performing various administrative tasks to ensure efficient operations within the legal team.
Case Management:
Assist attorney in organizing and managing case files related to insurance claims and litigation.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic and physical case records.
Track deadlines, court appearances, and filing requirements for each case.
Legal Document Preparation:
Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
Ensure all documents comply with relevant legal procedures and formatting standards.
Communication and Correspondence:
Act as a liaison between attorneys, clients, insurance companies, and other parties involved in legal proceedings.
Communicate professionally and promptly via phone, email, and written correspondence.
Coordinate meetings, appointments, and conference calls for attorneys and clients.
Administrative Support:
Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling appointments, hearings, and deadlines.
Prepare expense reports, prepare and submit invoices using clients’ billing processes.
Maintain office supplies, equipment, and filing systems in an organized manner.
Client Service:
Provide excellent customer service to clients by addressing inquiries, relaying messages, and providing updates on case status.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all client interactions.
Legal Assistant Background Profile:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a legal environment preferred.
Previous experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, preferably in insurance law or a related field preferred
Strong understanding of legal terminology, Arizona state and federal courts procedures, and documentation related to insurance claims and litigation preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal software applications.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional demeanor.
Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Discretion and ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
