Role of Legal Assistant:
As a Legal Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in directly supporting attorneys, contributing significantly to case preparation and litigation support. This position offers exposure to challenging cases, strict deadlines, and opportunities for enhancing your legal support skills.
- Supporting case preparation and trial readiness
- Drafting various legal documents and correspondence
- Organizing and summarizing medical records
- Scheduling appointments and managing logistics for legal proceedings
- Conducting electronic filing in different court systems
- Assisting in collecting necessary records for cases
- Establishing and maintaining organized case files
- Managing attorney calendars and schedules
Qualifications for Legal Assistant:
- Minimum of an Associate degree or equivalent preferred
- At least 3 years of recent Legal Assistant experience
- Background in insurance defense is advantageous
- Proficiency in billing and case management software
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office and legal software systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong organizational abilities
