Our Dallas client is seeking a Legal Assistant – Commercial Banking / Paralegal - Banking to join their firm on a direct hire basis.

Company Profile:
Established Dallas law firm handling loan documents for lending, any defaults, workouts, bankruptcies that originated from large commercial loans.

Legal Assistant – Commercial Banking / Paralegal - Banking Role:
In this role you will handle both paralegal and administrative tasks
Support several attorneys
Responsibilities include:
-     File organization and maintenance
-     Word processing
-     Drafting/revising correspondence
-     Legal documents
-     Case status maintenance
-     Documents management
-     Research and investigation
-     Develop systems to help track information and assist with document acquisition
-     Review and analysis
-     Using charts, spreadsheets, statistics, etc to analyze and report details and findings
-     Proofreading legal documents

Legal Assistant – Commercial Banking / Paralegal - Banking Background Profile:
3-5 years legal or banking experience
3-5 years administrative and/or legal experience
3-5 years’ experience in commercial loan documentation either in a bank or a law firm (residential experience will not apply)
Experience drafting loan documents, not just using templates
Excellent spelling and proofreading skills
Paralegal certificate preferred
Experience with major case load/high volume of matters
Excellent computer skills – MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook
Timeslips software experience required, or another similar timekeeping software
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong ability to work independently
Excellent attention to detail skills
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Thrives in a busy, deadline driven environment
