Our genuinely nice Law Firm client located in North Dallas is looking for a Law Firm Human Resource Manager for its busy Law Firm.  This position is a full-time, direct-hire, 5 days a week in the office.  This Firm has an excellent central location, free parking and very competitive salaries.

Law Firm Human Resource Manager Role
Leads legal staff recruitment process by developing job descriptions, interviewing candidates, and creating offers of employment
Position is 5 days in the office, Monday – Friday
Candidate must have the ability to travel to other offices when necessary
Manages new hire onboarding, including and conducting new hire orientations 
Leads staff recruitment process by developing job descriptions, interviewing candidates, and creating offers of employment
Assists in the coordination and implementation of annual open enrollment and annual wellness events
Monitors and coordinates secretarial coverage during absences and vacation schedules
Monitors secretarial workflow
Handles paperwork and tracking for all leaves of absence for all employees
Represents Firm at personnel-related hearings 
Recommends promotions, assignment changes, disciplinary actions, demotions and terminations 
Provides managers with information regarding staff performance, personnel practices, policies and employment laws
Oversees performance management process including staff compensation recommendations
Manages exit interviews for departing staff and attorneys, including processing paperwork 
Communicates various Firm policies and initiatives; responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs; advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
Assists with the annual review process for all staff 
Assists in the associate reviews with the associate compensation committee 
Knowledge of HRIS processes including salary changes, disability, leaves, terminations
Knowledge of HR legislation and ensure best practices and compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws
Assists with seasonal and yearly intern programs including hiring, training, support and general oversight
Reviews candidate unemployment documents for correctness 
Documents and attends meetings with staff regarding disciplinary matters and Personal Improvement Plans (PIPs)

Law Firm Human Resource Manager Background
Must have 5+ years in a Law Firm Human Resources Management role
Bachelor’s Degree required
PHR or SPHR Certification preferred but not required 
Must be super organized in this role
Must be super personable, friendly and approachable.
Must be a good listener
Must be able to take a stand and be firm when necessary
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to learn new software
Highly organized individual who can work in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to work well under pressure, be dependable, and work independently
Candidate must know the importance of sensitive and confidential information
Candidate must have strong people skills, positive attitude, and the ability to get along well with others
