Junior Accountant
Job Description
Our client located in Dallas is in need of a Junior Accountant for a Direct Hire opportunity. Hybrid opportunity.

Junior Accountant Role:
Under supervision, this role entails overseeing various accounting service functions, including the preparation of financial statements, reporting payroll taxes, developing budgets, reconciling statements, managing debts, performing bookkeeping tasks, offering QuickBooks consulting, setting up computer software, and reviewing the work of fellow team members.
Enter, reconcile, and maintain the financial records for a variety of clients
Record journal entries, reconcile bank accounts, produce financial reports and assist with payroll and file payroll reports
Interact directly with clients
Input of client data into QB
Prepare payroll reports: quarterly, annual reports, federal, and state.
Financial statement preparation
Responsible for any reconciliations
Interface with clients regarding any QuickBooks and payroll questions
Assist with updating asset and depreciation schedules
Assist with preparation of work papers and journal entries for clients
Keep supervisors up to date on assignments and scheduling issues
Perform overtime work as needed January-April, July, and October
Junior Accountant Background Profile:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Expertise in QuickBooks, with QuickBooks Pro Advisor certification considered a strong asset
Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and tax concepts
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; knowledge of Lacerte tax software is advantageous
Strong communication skills and the ability to cultivate positive relationships with colleagues and clients
Capacity to adapt to a fast-paced, collaborative work environment and meet deadlines consistently
