Inventory Specialist – Oil and Gas
Our client, located in the Jersey Village area of Houston, TX is in immediate need of an Inventory Specialist – Oil and Gas. This is a Direct Hire opportunity.

The Inventory Specialist Role:
Your chief goal in this position will be to monitor and report on our company’ s inventory levels. You will be responsible for developing inventory tracking systems, reviewing levels of supplies, requisition of new materials, and performing daily analysis. The goal is to ensure that all business operations have adequate material to achieve their objectives.
Develop an inventory tracking system to streamline our business operations
Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices
Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers
Report on inventory activities and variances
Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory
Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory
Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiency or excessive surplus
Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.
Analyze data to anticipate future needs
Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met
Report to upper management on stock levels, issues etc.
Perform daily analysis to predict potential inventory problems.
The Inventory Specialist Background Profile:
5+ years’ experience in inventory, distribution and operational procedures
Bachelor’ s degree preferred, but not required
Familiarity with fittings, tubing, valves and pumps is highly preferred
Working knowledge of data analysis, inventory management software, and forecasting techniques.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and planning skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Reliable and trustworthy
This job operates in a warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. However, it should be noted that the position will be expected to assist and manage the physical counting of stock.
