Our client in Arlington, Texas is looking for a Insurance Benefits Specialist for a 1-2 month project assignment to assist with entering and verifying patient insurance information.Â

Benefits Specialist Role:
Enter and update patient insurance information accurately in the system
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to services
Confirm coverage details including deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance, and authorization requirements
Ensure insurance data is complete and compliant with internal policies
Communicate with insurance carriers as needed to clarify coverage
Work closely with Revenue Cycle and front-end staff to resolve discrepancies
Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information in compliance with HIPAA
Support the team with additional administrative tasks as needed during the assignment
Benefits Specialist Background Profile:
1–3 years of medical office experience with insurance verification and benefits entry
Comfort with electronic medical records (EMRs), data entry, and general office systems.
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Familiarity with medical insurance plans (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid preferred)
Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Proficient with computer systems and data entry
Dependable and able to commit to the full 4–6 week assignment

Mike has a passion for community service, having served as a board member for the Bear Creek Specialty Utility District (formerly Lavon Water Supply Corporation) from 2007-2013; Community Independent School District board trustee from 2013-2017; and currently serves as Lavon City Councilman, Place 2 since 2017.
