Inside Sales Manager Role:
Inside Sales Manager will lay the groundwork for creating and expanding an Inside Sales Team. Initially, serve as an individual contributor to drive sales through outbound calls, emails, and mail campaigns. This is a hands-on role.
Oversee the day-to-day activities of both your own desk and the broader inside sales team in this first-level management position.
Inside Sales Manager will consistently generate leads, contact 50+ prospects daily, and manage your sales pipeline.
Utilize excellent verbal and written communication skills without exception.
Proactively interact with key target accounts.
Manage pricing agreements and handle negotiations.
Address escalated customer issues and report them to management as needed.
Inside Sales Manager will attend trade shows, gather leads, and create targeted sales campaigns based on the collected leads.
Allocate qualified leads to the Regional Sales Manager.
Recruit, hire, and onboard new inside sales representatives.
Coach, mentor, and manage the performance of inside sales representatives.
Monitor metrics to make informed decisions that support both individual and team goals.
Inside Sales Manager Background Profile:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 4 years in a related field, including at least 1 year of experience in mentoring and coaching a team.
Proven experience in B2B sales is essential.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required.
Demonstrated ability to meet personal performance metrics and KPIs while also supporting team goals.
Experience with targeted direct mail campaigns.
Strong skills in building relationships, listening, persuading, negotiating, and time management.
Knowledge of customer service principles, including needs assessment, service quality standards, and customer satisfaction evaluation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required; experience with Salesforce is a plus.
