Infusion Pharmacist Role:
The Infusion Pharmacist will tribute to the organizations business strategy by managing daily pharmacy tasks and collaborating with other departments to deliver excellent patient care and achieve improved outcomes while meeting organizational goals and performance targets
Model and uphold the company culture, holding others accountable and serving as a coach and mentor within the organization
Communicate clear performance expectations follow up regularly and ensure team accountability
Manage recurring or daily tasks critical to patient care and identify opportunities for improvement or increased efficiency
Collaborate with prescribers and clinical staff to enhance health outcomes and safety
Review interpret and evaluate prescriber medication orders for therapeutic suitability cost-effectiveness accuracy safety and completeness
Provide pharmacological consultation by collaborating with providers recommending appropriate therapies based on clinical documentation answering healthcare professionals questions and counseling patients on their medications
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following procedures rules and regulations
Prepare medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders and detecting potential therapeutic conflicts
Operate in compliance with all relevant governing bodies such as GABOP DEA ADAP and others
Perform other related tasks as assigned
Infusion Pharmacist Background Profile:
Bachelors degree in pharmacy required
Must have a Pharmacist License from the Florida Board of Pharmacy
Minimum of two years of experience in infusion pharmacy required
Active Immunizing Certificate a plus
