IT Field Service Technician Role:
As an IT Field Service Technician, you will serve as the primary technical support resource for multiple restaurant locations. You will deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot mission-critical technology systems that keep operations running smoothly.
Install, configure, and support POS systems (NCR, Aloha, Toast or similar platforms)
Maintain and repair registers, kiosks, KDS systems, drive-thru headsets, servers, and network hardware
Perform break-fix troubleshooting for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Diagnose and resolve network outages, cabling issues, and peripheral device failures
Support help desk requests through ITSM ticketing systems
Deploy system upgrades, structured cabling, and new hardware rollouts
Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure operational continuity
Serve as the primary technical liaison for restaurant management teams
Coordinate with third-party vendors and external service providers
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members
Travel throughout North and East Texas is required.
IT Field Service Technician Background Profile:
3+ years of IT field service, network technician, help desk, or restaurant technology experience
Hands-on troubleshooting experience with POS systems and QSR technology environments
Strong understanding of break-fix processes and preventive maintenance programs
Experience with structured cabling and basic network infrastructure
Familiarity with CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications (preferred)
Proven ability to train or mentor others in technical environments
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly
High level of organization and time management
Self-motivated with a continuous learning mindset
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations
