Industrial Engineer Role
Industrial Engineer reports to the Quality Control/Assurance Manager.
Provide technical leadership to the production, service, and quality teams.
Responsible for manufacturing engineering standards and methods, continuous improvement projects, cost-saving analysis & initiatives, staffing analysis, and operations planning with a focus on improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Wil serve as the Project Manager in implementing the organization’s Lean strategy.
Work to reduce time in system and improve labor productivity.
Develop and execute manufacturing process plans for vehicle manufacturing and continuously improve processes and procedures using tools and methods such as statistical process control and experiments.
Analyze workforce utilization, facility layouts, and operation data, such as production costs, production flow charts, and production schedules to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
Provide input to determine workforce requirements to support all current operations, expansions, and new product introductions.
Work with the Purchasing team when new raw material is introduced to our current process to ensure finished products' quality metrics are sustained.
Improve manufacturing processes to support key quality metrics.
Conduct Layered Process Audits.
Industrial Engineer Background Profile:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical degree or 5+ years of Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related role with specific gains in documenting and improving process flows and production efficiency within the manufacturing industry required.
AutoCAD and Solidworks or Inventor skills
Detailed understanding of Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Manufacturing Quality, ERP System Utilization, Developing Standards, Information Analysis
Experience with process mapping, Lean, Six Sigma, and 6S Methodology
Ability to read and understand blueprints (fabrication, machining and assembly drawings)
Understanding of quality management and measurement
